How do the years fly by so quickly? In the blink of an eye they grow up. They find their way. They make friends and choices and you hope that you have guided them and loved them enough to send them on their way. Well....I have to say...Shayne is one amazing senior! She is finishing up her high school years at Deer Lakes HS. She is in the marching band and plays the saxophone AND recently picked up the tuba (literally! She has to carry that while marching!). Shayne also plays multiple sports including softball and swimming. As a new mom to sports, I now realize the time, dedication and love of the game that goes into playing. This girl does it all!! She is also so sweet and kind...I knew this was going to be a fantastic session!

When Shayne's mom Lisa reached out to me to plan her senior photos, I couldn't wait! Summer is one of the BEST times to take senior photos! There is something uplifting about spending a quiet summer evening in the park that brings out the natural beauty of this special moment!!

After discussing different locations, we decided on Hartwood Acres. This beautiful park has just reopened after construction of it's newest art sculptures. It boasts greenery, a beautiful flower garden (that we were lucky enough to have ALL to ourselves), the mansion and the cobblestone walkways.

I always encourage seniors to wear what feels most comfortable to them. I want them to FEEL beautiful, confident and relaxed while we are doing their session!! It should be a stress free time for laughs and giggles and moments to remember. Shayne succeeded in all of the above!!! Her outfits were stunning and complimented her gorgeous smile and beautiful hair. We walked through my usual set of go-to poses and some of her favorite photos were the ones that I said "this is going to feel weird...but I promise it looks great!" She was probably tired of hearing that by the end of the session but she ROCKED every minute of it!! Shayne was a complete natural and it shows!!

Shayne, I wish you the absolute BEST this year!! I hope you have so much fun in your senior year and that you continue to smile your gorgeous smile as you move on to your next path in life. You are meant to do great things!! I am honored to have captured these memories of your senior year! I will be waiting with LOTS of confetti in June when it's time to take your photos in your cap and gown!!
